Click the down arrow in the top right corner of any Facebook page
Select Settings
Click Manage Account
Click Deactivate Your Account and follow the instructions
If you want to completely delete your account so that none of your data is saved by Facebook, youll need to take a few extra steps. First, youll need to deactivate your account as described above. Then, youll need to log in to your account and follow these instructions:

Select Settings
Click Your Facebook Information in the left column
Click Deactivation and Deletion
Click Permanent Deletion and follow the instructions
Keep in mind that once you delete your account, you wont be able to retrieve any of your data, so be sure you really want to delete your account before you take this step.
How to Delete Your Twitter Account
Deleting your Twitter account is a pretty straightforward process. Just log in to your account and go to your settings. Once youre in your settings, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Deactivate my account.
